Job Responsibilities/Duties
The Operations Support Specialist, Expeditor position verifies with the Field Work Supervisor that work documents, materials, waste containers, or other requirements are complete and available and interfaces with the responsible Field Work Supervisor, Planner, Engineer, Material Coordinator, etc. as required. Work with Work Package Planners and coordinate field walk downs of work packages as necessary. Work with Work Package Planners to track and facilitate that work package documents are reviewed, approved, and ready to work. The Expeditor evaluates Work packages/orders status to verify that they are ready to work by the end of week T-1. If not, identify remaining approvals and determine if the work needs to be rescheduled to a later date. Facilitate that the next day's work packages are provided to the Shift Manager(s)/Central Shift manager for release as needed. Supports the work week manager by verifying labor resource availability with the Field Work Supervisor /Area Manager and tracks worker vacation time, PTB and Training commitment (e.g., Hammer trainer, medical appointments, union business). Maintains work package control for the team. Notify Work Week Manager (WWM) and Integration Managers to reschedule as necessary. Maintaining, statuses, and control of work packages Gather information on work activities that were not performed as scheduled Interface with and coordinate multiple activities with Operations Manager, Work Planner, Project Control and Field Work Supervisor to ensure schedule maintenance and adherence including coordination of P6 schedule updates and status Performs duties as an alternate for the Work Week Manager Submits overtime requests Track and support prioritizing and planning for preventative and maintenance work activities at Team Facilities including rolling stock
Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree and 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Qualifications
Previous Hanford experience desired. Outlook, P6, Excel, Word, EAM, SmartPlant, WORA, EJTA, and TFMMS software system experience desired.
