B2B Sales Manager: Fed Government
**General Description**
General Description : Samsung Mobile's Professional B2B Channel Sales of Government Sales for (Carrier) will be responsible for launching and managing Samsung Mobile's Government sales strategy for (Carrier). This person will be responsible for working closely with Samsung Mobile's Carrier Sales Organization to ensure all efforts are appropriately coordinated prior to execution and all required Government carrier sales, marketing, and product relationships are created at all levels both at (Carrier)Area HQ and in the field. This person will need to be comfortable in client facing roles with both functional / line of business and technical audiences. Strong presentation skills and technical acumen are critical to this role. Deep experience with mobile handsets, mobile applications, hosted mobile solutions, web applications and vertical based mobile technologies is important to facilitate deep relationships and credibility with carrier partners and customers. Day to day responsibilities will include communicating with Carrier Government Sales teams around product updates, program overviews and supporting their ongoing sales efforts. This individual will be measured upon their ability to execute against a quarterly business plan that they will develop in alignment with the overall B2B Sales Strategy set forth by Samsung Mobile's Senior Leadership. Responsibilities:
* Foster strong relationships with key carrier executives in order to successfully position the Samsung Government portfolio and align Samsung / Carrier near-term Government sales strategy.
* Manage communications, sales promotion development, and training as required to stimulate and facilitate the sale of Samsung Mobile Government Solutions.
* Establish high-level as well as tactical relationships with (Carrier) field sales, marketing and product teams
* Oversee Samsung / Carrier Government sales activities and drive the development and operations of Samsung solutions for (Carrier).
* Work closely with internal and external teams responsible for software and platform development, QA testing, and client development to prioritize new requirements into roadmap solutions.
* Manage cross-functional teams towards the launch and promotion of new solutions.
* Travel, as required to (Carrier) HQ and field office locations throughout the US
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Necessary Skills / Attributes : Background/Experience required: Bachelors degree required, technical or business discipline preferred, Masters degree a plus Minimum 8-10 years of government technology sales or business development experience, knowledge of mobile handset market, OEMs and carriers preferred 3-5 years experience selling mobile solutions at or with a US carrier preferred Proven overachiever, track record of quarterly / annual sales success Self starter and very capable on both business and technical fronts. Previous experience and success in selling technical solutions. Necessary Skills/Attributes: Very strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal skills. Proven ability to build and manage account relationships with US Carriers. Mature understanding of building, launching, and operating solutions with US Carriers Strong PowerPoint skills
* Ability to manage simultaneous high profile programs to completion. Comfortable with presenting in front of customers and business executives. Ability to work collaboratively across global, cross functional teams. Entrepreneurial, highly motivated and able to think proactively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate meetings and develop relationships with external and internal organizations. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside of the company. Comprehensive knowledge of technical product, marketing and sales lifecycles. Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills. Most important will be strong communication, both written (PPT presentations) and oral skills. The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames. Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PCs, printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel required varies as needs arise to be in front of the customer Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
